Apologies in advance, I have decided to emulate Brocade Knight (bk) with a novel mixed with the detail of an Anthony posting, lol.

It was a lovely venue, on the banks of Lake Windermere, with a natural viewing platform about 80m from where I set up the display and elevated by 30m so the wedding party could look across at the effects.

It took 4 hours to rig and 90 minutes to take down by torch light, we arrived home at 02:00 AM! I should have logged on to find Jinn Kyja (jk) and Krony talking rubbish in the middle of the night on the forum, lol.

Highlight for me was the 4 x Jorge Exclusive Collection 2 [3:06] which GN has at an amazing price (see below link to the Galactic Fireworks page) a must for those coming on Sale day or the On-line day to buy ... such NEC power and mix of effects it deserves the tag 'Exclusive'!

The real shame is I started with 2 x Sovereign Rainbow 90 shot which I have been holding onto for years, lovely effect, very colourful but too much smoke and ruined the next 90 seconds. I recently acquired some large Magnum cakes, mines and rockets and again GN is correct these large Magnum fireworks didn't deliver but at the price I paid in a closing down sale needed to be used and filled 70% of the display, however really annoyed that each of the 4 x Helios Rising 'B - faster volley' cakes didn't light from the e-match and caused a break in the display. My recommendation is stick with Crackonite, Glittering Diadem and Treasure Chest etc, funny that these are the ones Galactic stock, my mistake thinking bigger is better.

Also the rockets were naff and so I will be first in the queue to buy GN's new strobe and brocade rockets (see link below) for my BFN display to add to the box of RP Specials I am collecting in two weeks, now all I need to find is someone who wants 24 x 150g rockets cheap, any takers they are boxed in 3 x re-lockable Pyromesh cages (8 in each).

Before anyone comments, I know 4 firing points was a bit ridiculous for the 70 guests who were there but the groom is a friend and also my and GN's tailor, Richard Smith 'Bespoke' is an artist and if he can make my shape look like a proper gent, critically slimmer, clothed in a 3 piece suit deserved my extra effort ... a thank you to my Mr Suit.

You know what Simon first of all thank you very much for your kind words, it does make me feel good knowing that we do here think and try to buy fireworks that produce great effects at the right price.

Now to your display. I have tonight been to Newbey Hall and watched 4 professional displays that had multiple firing positions and some massive shells that where obviously spectacular but I say this in truth watching your video I was thinking wow you could have given them a run for there money. I thought the whole thing was perfect, I loved that it was the right time but unlike you I liked the rockets at the end too, maybe after the onslaught you had provided either a few more or some bigger ones would have been ok but from my viewing angle here I thought they looked fine.

Superb show I know I would have been absolutely delighted if you had done the exact same thing for my wedding :)

A 2016 cake from Planet Fireworks called Colossus, but the UN carton states Golden Colossus. It has 984g of NEC and comes individually pyromeshed. I fired 2 together. Great effect but too expensive at £100.

The effect was a trial to replicate my signature 8 x Glittering Diadems firework experiment using Brocade Knight (bk)'s 4 way cake rack that I try to fire in each display as I fear this will be the last year you can get this Magnum cake.

At Galactic Nigel's bulk prices Glittering Diadem is the better option, as it lasts longer and the breaks are higher and bigger. See what I mean by viewing my other video in a previous thread called Sparks at Brocstedes Park [7:54 - 8:17].

You should all consider on the Sale or Online Sale day buying these cakes as I am sure they will become a future classic.

In addition to an endless email I sent Simon yesterday (ha ha ha ha!! Sorry)... I've just watched that video for a 4th time and it has made me think...
You just can't convince folk that 5 minutes is a pretty long duration for a display. Especially if it's as bold as this one! And especially for something like a wedding, where a knock-your-socks-off 5minutes is better than any longer. I know things go quicker in the flesh, first time round, rather than re-watching on video, but seriously, I guess the real audience not only thought the 2x Colossus was the finale, but would have been just as impressed if it had been!
But who wouldn't go as big as the budget allowed?!?!!!
It's difficult to not give an answer about duration if asked, but I reckon it's always been the hardest part of selling a display. But even if it's a gift, like I did for my Aunt's golden wedding, it's probably best not to be drawn on it. People always think a display has lasted miles longer than the reality.
So I reckon 5 mins max for a wedding, but Simon's video has made me think 3 minutes done that big would be perfectly acceptable!
Now as for that 4/8 way rack, don't retire it, get yourself 8 Red Line, if Galactic still have them. (!!Not my dozen at Turver Towers though!!). Cus Team North East showed last comp they're about the biggest boldest cat3 I've ever seen. Odd to finish on maybe, I always want something brocadey, but it's gonna happen sometime with mine.

Have a box already sat in the stable waiting to be fired :) I thought the Crowns were good last year - looking forward to seeing these.

If you hadn't have mentioned about the lack of Helios Rising I wouldn't have been able to say there was anything but an intentional gap which gave even more impact to the last few cakes. (Unless you are talking about a slight stutter around 1:40?)

I don't know if you've encoded a subliminal message in to that video but all I can say is amazing show! :)
