Hi boys girls and friends and galactic crew. I have been a recluse since BFN as have been having treatment for head and neck cancer by radiotherapy and chemotherapy and next week is my last week plus an extra day has been tagged on a week on Monday 9th December.

Been feeling poorly at times and groggy, hopefully I will improve in next few weeks after treatment.

Hopefully next year I'll come on a visit to Turver Towers and have a bit of a weekend break, come up, spend a day, get a box of fireworks to take home, perhaps visit Mandy at Dinnington and go home Sunday.

In the meantime, I wish you all a Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year if I don't see you all before. ;)

    All the best, Sir Anthony.
I know we've had our moments in the past but in a strange way I'm looking forward to having some more in the future, lol.

Having a few trials and tribulations with my illness still, and still not well (yet), it is dragging me down to hell and back.

Spent Christmas and New Year at Clitheroe Hospital which was boringly crap to say the least with visits from friends after between Christmas and New Year and watched the New Year's Eve fireworks on TV and got discharged last Friday with home help two days a week.

Now a period of recovery is the recipe for me until i'am much better again

Plenty of rest Sir Anthony, and keep the calories up too - that's my advice now! None of this healthy eating malarky please.

I have to take things easy at mo, soft food is the order of the day i.e ambrosia custard, tomato soup, softly made mash mixed with milk, softly cooked noodles, semolina, rice pudding, and similar. Gotta go in for another scan tomorrow, there's a left over lump still affecting me after all my treatment that is making me occasionally sick......

You're missing one of your essential food groups there, namely Angel Delight
Butterscotch is the best medicine. :D

I am slowly improving but I still get dry mouth and throat at night when sleeping.

I stick to soft easy to eat foods (not listening to daft Jinn suggestions) and allow such foods to cool a bit before I eat them to avoid burning the inside of my mouth.

I have to use artificial saliva spray and could have to use it for a while (tastes horrid though) as I have found out that my dry mouth conditions can last anything from several months to as much as a year..... :(

Hi everyone. Still suffering a dry mouth at nights while sleeping. I'am extending my food choices and thinking wider -

Jelly with made with evaporated milk and soft fruits added i.e bananas, tinned mandarin oranges and tinned grapefruit,

Mash with gravy and pies with gravy,

    Ice cream

Tomato soup with two slices of buttered white bread,

    Chocolate mousses,

    Yogurts,

Deep pan cheese pizzas with warmed cheese sauce,

Soft cooked pasta with Bolognese sauce (no mince),

Quiche Lorraine with warmed cheese sauce, and many more foods.

I start my days with a couple of Yakult drinks and a single Weetabix softened in semi skimmed milk.

I'am making apple smoothies with my Nutri Ninja smoothie maker and they're lovely for a daytime drink and they're nice to drink as well as being good for you too!

It's good to have a bit more choice in what I eat and I had my feeding tube removed from my stomach as I don't use it no more.

I'am steadily improving however I don't how long my dry mouth condition will last but I'm slowly getting there! :)

Hello folks, still suffering a dry mouth at times, and it ain't very nice. Trying to eat one or two solid foods with cheese sauce to soften them. Still using a horrible tasting artificial saliva spray which is awful.
