If the pyro is quality, I don't care whose label is on them.

Red...I'm not a DRD hater at all...But when I'm spending the money I do on pyro each year I want quality. Then again, I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth and if the DRD rocket pack was £59.99 I might consider buying them as fillers.

DRD don't help themselves when they slap a RRP of £199 on the pack...£9.10 a rocket??? Come on now! - I wouldn't buy them for £100 on principle with that RRP on them...It's an insult to my intelligence. Don't they realise how much an inflated RRP ***** us pyro nuts off?

Don't forget, I've seen this pack live.

Ok, here goes, see Dib Dib Dib thread too.

I fired this pack tonight and it's decent. At £100 it represents very reasonable value. I previously said that for the money I'd much rather have other rockets. Not so sure now. I'd say that if you needed a large volume of rockets, and there's loads here, then this is a very good option. Very few small items, mostly medium to large with mostly very sizeable bursts, big bangs and decent variety. Even a few double breaks amongst them.

Some ridiculous big heads mind you and lord knows the mess they must leave on landing.

So I'm taking it back. For a big multi pack it's very good and certainly worth the money when compared with most medium to large packs on the market. You could get a pack of Kingdom and some Superiors for the same money. Mostly better rockets than these but 10 versus around 30.

Well this being a forum, it's good that we all have differing opinions sometimes and although I usually (almost always) agree with you on things, I couldn't disagree more with you on this.

The rockets are of poor quality and inconsistant lift heights. The have oversized rocket heads and the 'colours' are poor from the breaks. Ok, I agree that a few of them have an ok 'bang' to them but there is NO hang time at all. There's no chance I'd pay any more than £50 for them and anyone else who did would have to have their sanity questioned.

I'd much rather have the 27 Mega Blast Rockets from Brothers any time.

Perhaps one or two of the DRD rockets are worth a fiver (you get 20 odd for £100) but the smaller one's aren't even worth a £1 each. I'm lost for words that you say they are worth that money Judge but then again, like mine, it's just an opinion.

Yes good value for under £100 but there are only 22 rockets and I cant remember any double breaks ?

Every one flew straight and true. Not huge heights to be fair but not a single issue with any of them. Put it this way, we were firing them hand over fist and more often than not the breaks were powerful and colourful.

Now, I'm not saying that one on one they are anywhere near the best rockets for their size and I've already said they're ridiculous to look at. But, again, for a large pack, to allow you to fire all night with impunity, they are very respectable and far better than expected. Most people, I suggest, would be very pleased with their choice if they wanted a mass of rockets and bought this pack.

    You are forgiven though!

It felt like more but I've looked now so 22 it is. The two doubles are in the middle on left and right in the picture.

I fired 2 DRD invicible rockets and 1 was very good and the other a little disappointing (theres a vid of the disappointing 1 on this forum somewhere, unfortunately didnt video the good 1).
Paid £30 for a pair of 2, so they were from the same pack.
First foray into DRD and not good, i dont like inconsistency....

IF someone is looking for a large pack then I was pleasantly surprised at this pack and it is NOT a rip off at £100. RRPs and packaging have absolutely nothing to do with that statement, in fact I specifically stated that the style and packaging is tacky, and you borrowed the expression from mine.

Again, there are better rockets out there and a better quality brand but as a large box, see your making me repeat myself, they are ok and a decent buy.

Not sure that any of that is especially controversial.

So did anyone fire this pack in 2012? Well, actually did anyone fire the 44 rocket version that Nigel is selling?
  17. supercarnigel

    supercarnigel Pyro-King Staff Member

comes in a box with 22 rockets the 44 version is just 2 boxes in a pyro meshed cage :)

And have to say considering that we put them on very cheap on the birthday week they have not sold very well :)
