Hi all! I am a long time fireworks lover from Helsinki, Finland. I was delighted to find this forum of fireworks aficionados and would like to share with you my latest New Year's show. I have been doing private firework shows with music soon for 10 years, trying to develop my skills and to make the shows a bit more ambitious every year. This year I had a large budget and an access to an excellent variety of material so I decided to make this year's show quite large (8 numbers). I hope you like it! (And I hope I have posted this in a proper area, feel free to move it to the right place if needed!)

The whole show as YouTube playlist

The numbers with * I consider especially worth while watching. The audience heard the music from a 2 x 750 W Peter Alderton (pa) which I achieved last autumn to serve especially in fireworks shows. The whole show, including a couple of minutes of start-up music and a 1 minute break between each number lasted 38 minutes.

Superb display Setamies, did you hand fire or remote?

    Thanks tillman!

Hand fired everything. I had the ammo organized in three spacious sections and in chronological order. Anything doubled or tripled was located next to each other for quick and precise doubling. The shooting plan was theoretically in 5 sec resolution - in practice I didn't use stopwatch at all on this display - I just followed the songs from my shooting field audio monitor and shot the rounds accordingly to their approximate planned places.

Even more impressive hand fired, do you only use the fireworks you list or are they just the main ones.
Do you only use Royal Party?

    That really is amazing.
Classical music goes so well with fireworks.

    Everything used is listed.

I have previously used a free mix of products from any importer, and surely all sorts of stuff from various sources was available in the 5-day New Year selling season here. This time however I wanted to make a more systematic study on what kind of numbers I could build from available Royal Party material to serve as models and demos for possible future off-season shows. As things are presently in Finland, of the three bigger importers we have, only Royal Party's importer (Suomen pyrotekniikka) is reliably available for consumer product business off-season, hence my focus on them. They also serve well and have a good selection of interesting products in stock so they will probably be my main source in the near future.

    Thank you!

This classical opening number from my 2010 New Year show was also much liked:

Loving the music by the way, classical music does just go with Pyro doesn't it!
