    Hey guys & gals!

Just heard about this forum a few days so thought I'd pop over and get signed up. Got a little video here of a back garden display I did on the 12th November. The vid has been posted on another forum so apologies if you have already seen it but for everyone else I hope you enjoy and perhaps feel a little inspired by it. :)

Just worth mentioning that a small cake misfired and started a fire a couple of minutes into the show, which destroyed the power and data cables running the light show. Unfortunate as we were left with some gaps where lights and lasers would have took over, but we finished off the show regardless.

    The show is 90% Cat2 5m & 8m with only a very small selection of Cat3.

I spent £650 this year. Little tighter than my usual GFN bill but still not bad for nearly 13 minutes of fun.

Fair enough ideally i would love to set up something like that fireworks wise say your budget of 650 then that sorts out a lot of big fireworks and then i would just love to jump down to the likes of JTF etc and spend 100 - 200 on a mixture of barrages candles rockets etc

But the video looks great :D

    Welcome Pete,
    Great show mate!
Have to ask where did you get the opening voiceover?

To be honest, there wasn't a great deal of large fireworks. Most of them are cheap cakes. I usually buy a lot of stuff from JTF but I'm constantly disappointed with the poor perfomance. The only things from JTF that made it into my show were some Rainbow Candles (just fillers really) and some single shot Shockwaves but these both could have been sourced from elsewhere at the same price. Everything else in my show came from Fireworks Crazy and Epic Fireworks, plus a handful of things from local suppliers.

Dont forget as well, my £650 budget also included delivery from Fireworks Crazy, 125x 2m ignitors (for 118 devices), gaffa tape, masking tape, bags and clingfilm. So theres probably only around £520 of actual pyro in that show.

The opening, middle, and ending voice over was written and scripted by myself, then performed and recorded by a professional voice actor. So it's totally custom made for my show (hence the reason for the clock / time travel theme).

Thats a shame i liked it.
It would be good to start a display, without the music just the guy fawkes bit.

What type of lights were they?

They looked like moving heads but I could be wrong I know. Saw 4 of the same light before the tragic fire

They're just scanners. Specifically, the Prosound Smart Scan 2. Pretty cheap actually...

This video has given my inspiration to attempt something similar with my cat 3 items, I have experiance with cat 4 items to music but not cat 3, very very difficult and you done an excellent job!

Thanks for the feedback and nice comments guys!

No, the stobes in each corner are 60sec pyro strobes. The laser only appeared once during the 'time travel' section and the actual dmx strobes were never seen. The 4 main search lights are dmx scanners.
