    Hi.

    I’m Tony, I’m 47, I’m from Liverpool and I’m a…firebug pyromaniac.

I’ve been a fan of pyrotechnics since I was a teenager, and even managed to get a seasonal job as stage crew for a MeatLoaf tribute band where I’d help set up some of the stage pyrotechnics.

Couldn’t maintain that as a proper job though, so went into computer programming (old-school COBOL) and then into data analysis and business management consultancy support.

I’ve seen most countries from the inside of a corporate office block, and the work away from home has always helped me pay for the nice things I liked…quick cars, good food & drink, skiing and pyrotechnics.

I’ve had a bit of a quiet few years as I’ve either been working away or not working (was in Dubai when the markets crashed and didn’t get paid my expenses/fees for 9 months) - both of which make it difficult to risk spending £1k-£2k on a family & friends garden display (usually about 1/2 acre of space).

I’ve been asked to do a small display (£500-ish) for some relatives who are coming over from Canada for a couple of weeks around Bonfire Night, so I’ve got a last-minute task of researching what’s out there now and what’s worth the cash.

My preference is for big rockets. I used to fire 10-20 German WECO ones and a similar amount of SuperBlitzknall ‘bangers’ - along with 100 or so of the smaller ones as fillers (firing 5-10 at a time). I’d also usually fire a couple of single-ignition cakes, but the lack of a breeze can mean you end up with everyone in a smokey, hazy mist.

Anyway, hopefully get some suggestions as to what are the best rockets now available (some for noise, some for pure visual effect, and some for height).

    Hi Tony

Used to love the old Weco rockets and super Blizknall, in fact I have saved some for my old collectables, I haven't seen any for a good few years now.

The Full house kits is selling really well and is very good indeed containing 9 quality cakes. Our Price £119.99 but Special customer price £99.99 (you need to have an account set up by texting me your name etc so I can set it up, text me on 07900300700) You will then see everything we sell at discounted prices.

    Thanks Nigel. Nice Turbo BTW.

Just set up a 'wholesale' account as suggested elsewhere on the forum.

Is there much difference between the Full House and Gem Collection, considering they’re of similar cost? And would either/both of these be of benefit in addition/replacement for the Porsche pack in my draft list below?

So far, I’m considering the following:
    • Ultimate Rocket Box
    • War Hawks x 20 (as fillers)
    • Thunder Rockets x 20 (as fillers)
    • Porsche display pack or Full House & Gem Collection

Full house has 9 larger cakes compared to Gem collection which has 12 smaller weight cakes. Both are quality and are perfect for your needs. The question is do you enjoy the lighting and spreading out for more time, if Yes, go for Gem or if it is No and about the effects and you want bigger but fewer bangs then pick the Full house.

    Thanks Simon.

Sounds like it might be worth swapping out the Porsche pack with the Full House/Gem Collection combo.

As long as work keeps up, and the car doesn't throw up any more unexpected bills (although, to be fair, the trip to the Ring will cost about £2k when I add it all up), then I'll be back for New Year fireworks too!

Well, the good news is my little stash has been delivered (very quickly I might add) :laughing heads:

...the bad news is I won't get to inspect/drool over it for another 10 days :desperate:
