I would like some advice please, I am planning to buy a LED headlamp with headstrap/fixing to fit my hardhat but don't know whether these would fit a hardhat while displaying. Does anyone know? It would be far better than holding a torch and it would keep my hands free for firework lighting.:firework4:

    lights

from experience i find a small light taped on my wrist is fine leaving the other hand free for lighting.

At last! An extremely sensible post Anthony! I use a head torch over a firemans helmet with full visor. Mine has a movement sensor for on/off so I can simply wave my had somewhere in front of it to control it rather than having to fiddle with the buttons. Just measure the size of the hat and check strap size when buying.

    lights

tried it in the past Sir Anthony :sparkler:. not impressed with it .your better off buying a rechargable light with a good lumin rating.you get what you pay for these days.you buy crap it ends up costing you twice as much.

OK. Will look to a headstrap led light that's powered by 3xAAA alkaline batteries and have to measure it and fit it (if I can). Needless to say I've tried a cheap poundshop headlight with headstrap on a hardhat and sad to say it kept flying off my hardhat and wouldn't stay put whatsoever. :(

Good idea to have a light strapped on to your strap on or your helmet,

    Liking this idea,

Nice to find a way to your destination in the dark

It also helps you to see your firework fuses better than constant fiddling around with a torch in one hand/rothy or portfire in the other and keeps your hands free for firing.:band:

IMAG0001.JPG IMAG0002.JPG Managed to do it with a standard aaa battery headlight;had to put the strap thru the eardefender clips on the side of the helmet, and it stays on too!
