Sorry to bring it up, but when do these go on sale?
I thought they were already on the site (under Misc) but either I imagined it or they got pulled.
All I can find now is the events page saying that it will be £100 this year, but you get that as credit on the day (as opposed to paying £40).
Plenty of time for plans to change, but it would be nice to have a sneaky peek at the list early.
If it's £100 I'm not coming so forget it...thanks for being a spoilsport jinn you really upset me horrible person
I don't think Jinn sets the prices. The Turvers are the ones in charge. Call Nigel and give him an ear bashing if you must but don't blame Jinn.
Thanks Flea, I thought putting a link to the actual page would help show I'm not to blame...
Besides, there's no point complaining until we're on at least Plan 3 or 4, they usually change a few times before the actual day.
EDIT to @Anthony :
Going by past years, I'm sure it won't be a problem for you to ring and arrange something else (probably involving cash on the day), as we know you don't do online banking - and it would be a shame not to see you there.
I didn't think £100 was particularly unreasonable considering you get it all as store credit (unless you got a lot of family coming), so really you're going for free in terms of the event if you're buying anything. It does mention there'd be updates for it in July, so could always wait til then I s'pose.
I, idiotic me, have read the article in the link, and reading it again, I realise that, the increase to £100 however painful it is, is a kind of benefit in a way, because we are as Shadow has put it, are sort of are getting it back in terms of money to spend on fireworks i.e. fun day firework items to take home on the Sunday except those who have to have to take off home on Saturday night after the product demos and fun day games BBQ etc so however bad I might see it, it's not such a pain in the rear end after all!
Well this was a very friendly post considering the tone and accusations of a previous post.
And this wasn't a very good apology considering the tone and accusations of a previous post.
Do I owe one? If it makes you happy here is one,
I am very sorry for blaming Jinn, thinking it was all under his say-so and control, and I realise that, on reading the article on the meet in the Galactic Fireworks website blog, I should've understood it far better than to come out with the false accusation I meted out untoward him.
That is my piece said so please don't expect anymore Krony.
Always happy to help if I can...
The only worries I can see are for someone that doesn't actually need to spend so much to get a good show, and as Shadow said, people with large families coming.
@Anthony, on a personal note - don't forget that you could probably use part of the £100 towards delivery (Note: I'm guessing, don't shoot me if I'm wrong)
£100 doesn't sound like a lot, but at Sale Day prices it could be a fair amount of gear to carry.
I'm sure you know best - you've made this trip a few times now, lol.
Tickets are now on sale HERE
Tickets are only £20 to cover a Chinese meal at the Canton (drinks not included) on the 3rd Aug.
[EDIT]There are a few items on the site already listed, search for Sale or clicky HERE
Ticket bought. Hotel Booked. Train Sorted.
Ticket bought also. Will have 1 drink back at the ibis before travelling home the same evening.
Ticket bought here hotel is already booked so good to go
Seems that this no longer works, I imagine the sale day listings were a mistake this early anyway.
Thanks for pointing that out Shadow, I'll edit it.
My own fault for presuming that the later ones were put up after the plans had been finalised.
Should be a good laugh, more importantly a lovely chinese
Ticket bought too
