I have to say the fireworks where something else tonight, It truly is amazing seeing a synchronised display to music with many thousands of pounds in the budget.
Was great to be given a tour of the firing sites first :) I take my hat off to the pro firers, We here at Galactic do a few displays a year but nothing like what these guys do. This is a different kettle of fish entirely.

I have to say as good as the fireworks where I would not want to have a night again like tonight. WHY ? well it was absolutely freezing cold, I think I might have coped with but having to sit shivering for 10-15 minutes between each display was pointless. I would have much prefered the whole evening to last 1 hour rather than 3 hours. I best go and try and defrost

Hi ,Nigel and Mandy.... Hope you are fully defrosted now. We watched the video of last year's last night and were gutted that we didn't go. For you to be so impressed it must have been amazing! Mind you, I don't think I would have survived the cold! Not when my brain is telling me it's only September...

LOL It should surely be impossible for industry people to be cold at a firework gig! And I thought northerners went out clubbing in minus ten in nowt but a string vest... and that's just the ladies!
No, despite thermals (long johns!) and winter lined walking trousers, fleece, windprrof jacket, hat & gloves it was chilly. But definitely worth it.
If we're keeping cat4 content off the site I'll not post the videos, but can I say search 'PoshPyro' for my YouTube channel, and they'll be up there. First one is up now, of Jubilee's huge finale in isolation, from two identical cameras.

post the videos Brocade Knight (bk) :) I suppose its more keeping the forum to things related to Galactic and Galactic where there, it was fab ! In fact I think cat 4 is really good, I should realise it is a totally different product in reality to cat 3

Oh and I would love to know what those white spinning things where in the first display ?

    Spinning things...
UFOs? Didn't there used to be something called that in days gone by? It was supposed to be retro.
Like miature giradolas maybe, search YouTube for 'girandolas' and if the first video is the PGI 2012 one, it's a ginormous version.
When I worked for Vulcan/Fireking we were going to use dozens of two stage (rising, falling, rising again) versions at the Plymouth comp. Too windy I think.
